Mission In Action Kenya

Bucket List Travel and Cruise is proud to support an Australian run charity called Mission In Action, Kenya (MIA)
that is a children home for abandoned babies and currently cares for approx 75 children.

MIA provides all of the children with a loving home, food, shelter, clothing, medical needs and education.

Our Director,  Julie Edwards, has visited & stayed at the children’s home on several occasions since 2020,
she has taken her own 2 children and other family members there and she has seen first hand the wonderful work that is being done here and the happy & healthy children are a true testament to the organisation.

Through her personal connection with these children, Julie and her family consider the children of Mission In Action to be their “Kenyan Family”.
Julie is passionate about these children being given the best opportunity of creating a future for themselves and proudly offers support to assist with providing funds for the childrens education, particularly Girl Education.

In particular, in 2024, a fundraiser was organised with her sons school, St Ignatius College, Drysdale,
in conjunction with Bucket List Travel and Cruise and Soul Sister Gifts, with an initial goal to raise $1500 to support
one girls high school fees. That fundraiser actually raised a total amount of $14,600.50 and covered the school fees for
13 girls!! An amazing effort and these funds will significantly impact the lives of these girls and help to break the cycle of poverty.

Bucket List Travel and Cruise is very grateful for the support of St Ignatius College (in particular Laura Taylor-Payne) and the school community.

Additionally, every booking that is made with Bucket List Travel and Cruise and every purchase from Soul Sister Gifts contributes to the support that we are able to provide to Mission In Action each year – we thank you for your support.
